Drug Addiction Treatment in Phoenix

Evidence-based outpatient treatment for substance use disorders — licensed clinicians, medical support, and a program built around your life.

Drug addiction looks different depending on the substance, but the path back rarely does: consistent clinical support, medical oversight where needed, and a treatment plan built around your specific situation — not a one-size-fits-all program. The Barbell Saves Outpatient Center provides medically supervised outpatient treatment for substance use disorders in Phoenix, AZ, through our Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP).

Our clinical team has experience treating a wide range of substance use disorders, often alongside co-occurring mental health conditions like anxiety, depression, or trauma — which is common, and which is why our program treats both together rather than separately.

Substances We Treat

Opioids & Fentanyl

Prescription opioids, heroin, and fentanyl. Given the overdose risk involved, we coordinate medical detox first when needed, then provide IOP-level care and relapse prevention.

Methamphetamine

Stimulant use disorder treatment focused on behavioral therapy, structure, and rebuilding routine — the approaches with the strongest evidence base for meth recovery.

Cocaine

Evidence-based counseling and relapse prevention for cocaine and other stimulant use, often paired with treatment for co-occurring anxiety or mood conditions.

Benzodiazepines

Benzo dependence can carry serious withdrawal risk — we coordinate medically supervised tapering or detox before transitioning you into outpatient care.

Marijuana & Cannabis

Cannabis use disorder treatment for clients whose use has become compulsive or is interfering with daily functioning, mental health, or responsibilities.

Polysubstance Use

Many clients are managing more than one substance at once. Our assessment accounts for the full picture, not just a single diagnosis.

Our Approach to Treatment

We are an outpatient treatment center — we don't provide medical detox or residential care on-site. For substances where withdrawal can be medically dangerous (opioids, benzodiazepines, and heavy alcohol use), we help coordinate placement with a detox partner first. Once you're medically stable, our IOP is where the real work of recovery happens: group therapy, individual counseling, psychiatric care, medication management when appropriate, and peer support from people with lived experience.

Movement and wellness are built into the model, not offered as an afterthought — our clinical team believes physical recovery and mental recovery are inseparable, and our facility is built to support both.

It depends on the substance and your individual situation. Opioids, benzodiazepines, and heavy alcohol use often require medically supervised detox first for safety. We assess this during intake and help coordinate placement if needed.
