Your physical health and your recovery plan — addressed together, not in separate silos.
The healthcare system has a fragmentation problem. Behavioral health lives over here, primary care lives over there, and the patient spends their energy navigating the gap between them — filling in context for each provider, managing separate records, and hoping that no one misses something important because the left hand doesn't know what the right hand is doing. At Barbell Saves, we've built a model that deliberately rejects that fragmentation.
Our integrated primary care services mean that your PCP appointment happens in the same building as your behavioral health treatment, with a care team that communicates in real time. Your primary care provider has access to your treatment plan, your medications, your progress notes, and your wellness goals. When your therapist notices something that might have physical implications, or when your PCP identifies something that affects your mental health, the conversation happens between providers — not through you as the messenger.
This integration matters especially for people in recovery. Substance use takes a toll on the body: on the liver, the cardiovascular system, sleep quality, nutritional status, and immune function. Managing chronic pain or untreated physical health conditions while in recovery is significantly harder when those conditions aren't addressed alongside behavioral health. Our PCP services cover routine and follow-up visits, management of chronic conditions, referrals, lab work coordination, and the ongoing monitoring that supports whole-person wellness.
We offer same-week appointments for clients who are already enrolled in our programs, and we accept most major insurance plans. If you've been putting off a PCP visit because it felt like one more thing to figure out, this is the simplest possible version of that: it's already here, it's already connected to your care, and we can usually get you in quickly.
