Confidential, evidence-based therapy tailored to you — not a protocol, not a checklist.
Sometimes you need a space that's just yours. Individual counseling at Barbell Saves gives you dedicated, one-on-one time with a licensed therapist who is fully focused on your history, your goals, and your pace. There's no group dynamic to navigate, no pressure to share before you're ready — just a private, confidential relationship built on trust and clinical expertise.
Our therapists are trained in evidence-based modalities and specialize in the intersection of addiction, behavioral health, and trauma. Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) helps clients build distress tolerance, emotional regulation, and interpersonal skills. Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) addresses the thought patterns that drive harmful behaviors and emotional dysregulation. Somatic approaches acknowledge that trauma lives in the body as well as the mind, and that healing sometimes requires moving beyond talk alone. Your therapist will draw on whichever combination of approaches fits your presentation and your preferences.
Individual counseling at Barbell Saves can serve as your primary treatment or as a component integrated with our IOP program. Clients enrolled in Adult IOP receive individual sessions as part of their program. Others come to us specifically for individual therapy — for addiction recovery, trauma processing, anxiety, depression, grief, relationship issues, or the complexity of co-occurring conditions where mental health and substance use intersect. Whatever brought you here, we'll meet you there.
Scheduling is flexible. We work with your availability, and we accept most major insurance plans so cost isn't a barrier to getting started. If you're not sure whether individual counseling is the right fit, call us — we'll talk through it and point you toward the level of care that makes the most sense.
